AFGHANISTAN
”Hollie and Jake have assembled a major work that will be an academically-sound and historical reference for generations to come. The end of the US effort in Afghanistan was witnessed first-hand by Hollie and Jake, and they have put their experiences, analyses, and facts together for a wide audience. This will be one of those books that domain experts will display behind them when they do TV news interviews and webinars about foreign policy, counterinsurgency, and modern history. This is also an excellent gift for anyone connected to Afghanistan, especially those who served there.” –Amazon ReviewONLY CRY FOR THE LIVING
”Only Cry For the Living is a harrowing read. It is often difficult, heart wrenching, horrifying, and downright shocking. To hear what many of these survivors have gone through truly shows the barbarity so many humans are capable of inflicting upon their own kind.” –GoodReads Review
